APO Joe Slack honored by Bay Village Civic Association

Amityville Village Police Officer Joe Slack, who was recently promoted to Sergeant, was
recognized by the Bay Village Civic Association for his efforts in saving a young girl from a
fire that broke out at her home at 77 Coles Ave., Amityville on March 3. Without protective

Joan Donnison of the Bay Village Association, as Geri Dempsey and Kathleen Boyle of the
Board of Directors look on.

In other "Slack" news, Glenn Slack was sworn also in as a Sergeant at the Village Board meeting
